We are United Food and Commercial Workers Local 663. The Membership Specialist position includes but is not limited to:
- Reconciling payments received
- Processing employment changes
- Creating invoices
- Generating and building monthly reports
- Communicating effectively and professionally
- Ensuring all deadlines are met
- Establishes systems and processes, automates the basic three-part cycles.
1) Census and update membership information (wage changes, new hires, terms, etc.)
2) Send correct dues billing
3) Receive funds and update accounts in LUMM
- Following up with Employers to get information needed
- Obtain and process membership applications
The Membership Specialist requirements include:
- A pleasant and professional demeaner in person, on the phone & through email
- Attention to detail and deadline driven
- Reliable and responsible
- Educated and/or experienced in accounting functions (AR, AP)
- Educated and/or experienced in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledgeable in data manipulation/mapping between platforms
- Expert level knowledge in the use of Excel
Experience with LUMM preferred but not required.
On-site in Brooklyn Center Monday through Friday 8 am – 4 pm with occasional event participation outside normal hours.

Salary: $50,000 to $55,000 per year
