{"id":2825,"date":"2023-09-27T17:28:01","date_gmt":"2023-09-27T22:28:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ufcw663.org\/blog\/?p=2825"},"modified":"2023-12-21T12:05:17","modified_gmt":"2023-12-21T18:05:17","slug":"ufcw-local-663-workers-at-seward-community-coop-win-industry-leading-tentative-agreement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ufcw663.org\/blog\/2023\/09\/27\/ufcw-local-663-workers-at-seward-community-coop-win-industry-leading-tentative-agreement\/","title":{"rendered":"UFCW Local 663 Workers at Seward Community Coop Win industry leading tentative agreement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE<br>September 27, 2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Minneapolis, MN <\/strong>\u2013Today, United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 663 union members at Seward Community Coop reached an industry leading tentative agreement that provides livable wages, pay equity and more secure benefits.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tentative agreement reached includes that all workers will receive at least $5.00 per hour more over the three year agreement, and PTO and sick time will now be combined.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The union bargaining committee issued this statement:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are proud to recommend this tentative agreement to our coworkers. We are excited to work for this coop and live our values. Coop values are union values, and together we are stronger.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UFCW Local 663 has agreed to drop the Unfair Labor Practices filed as a part of the tentative agreement.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Workers will vote to ratify the contract on Monday, October 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">###<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ufcw663.org\"><em>UFCW Local 663<\/em><\/a><em> represents more than 17,000 hard-working essential retail, meat packing and processing, food preparation and manufacturing, healthcare, and other workers in Minnesota.
