Minneapolis metro area and Brainerd Lakes area members have voted YES to the proposed dues increase to fully fund the future of our Union. This will put us in a position to address issues now and fight for strong contracts in the future.

Voting for the proposed dues increase was open from 8am on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 until 8pm on Sunday, December 14, 2025.

The Executive Board recommended voting YES.

Effective March 2026, for all Minneapolis metro area and Brainerd Lakes area members, replace the current monthly dues structure of 2 hours per month. Replace with the following dues rates:

Effective March 2026, set a weekly dues rate of:

Full-time: 0.75 hours per week

Part-time: 0.625 hours per week

Effective March 2027, set a weekly dues rate of:

Full-time: 0.8125 hours per week

Part-time: 0.6875 hours per week

Effective March 2028, set a weekly dues rate of:

Full-time: 0.875 hours per week

Part-time: 0.8125 hours per week

Dues deduction frequency will be impacted by members’ respective collective bargaining agreement.

An in-person and Zoom informational meeting was held on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 4:30pm at 6160 Summit Drive North, Brooklyn Center, MN.
